Both ACUVEX® and EMMAQUA® are designed to meet the requirements of ASTM G90, "Accelerated Outdoor Weathering of Nonmetallic Materials Using Concentrated Natural Sunlight". However, ACUVEX® has the following key advantages over EMMAQUA®:

• Every ACUVEX machine is computer controlled for consistency
• Every ACUVEX machine has both a black and white panel thermometer to monitor test conditions.
• Every ACUVEX machine checks 14 different parameters every second (such as checking for a loss in AC power). If any one of these parameters indicates an error condition, the test machine is safely shut down, preventing damage to test specimens.
